June Distribution

20 June 2024

The June Distribution covers royalties from the ICLA Educational Licences, ICLA Business Licences and foreign receipts. We are making payments to authors and publishers on Wednesday 26th June. Authors and publishers – keep an eye on your email for payment notification, and allow a few days for the payment to reach your account. We no longer make payments by cheque. If you receive a statement in the post, please make sure to fill in and return the mandate including your bank details so that we can pay you.

Information about Irish PLR payments from the British Library

ICLA wish to reassure that the cyber-attack on the British Library in no way effects the data held by ICLA to facilitate your PLR payments. We advise that if you use the same password for the BL PLR system as any other service that you are signed up to we would recommend changing the password in all instances. We do not currently have a timeline for the payment of PLR in 2024 and will keep you updated when we have more information from the British Library. New agreement with the Department of Education

2 June 2022

We are delighted to announce our agreement with the Department of Education to centralise the ICLA Educational Licence scheme. From September 2022 the Department will make a central payment for all recognised primary and post-primary schools in the Free Education Scheme. This means that schools retain access to a wide range of published materials to support learning and teaching without the administrative burden of applying for the licence.
